Louis Ciacci, 84, died May 12, 2011, in Fort Pierce. He was born in Brooklyn,
N.Y., and lived in Fort Pierce since 1969, coming from Long Island, N.Y. He
retired from South Florida Water Management. Previously, he was a volunteer
rescue chief of Centereach Fire Department in Long Island. He served in the
Army with the 32nd Infantry and 11th Airborne divisions during
World War II in the Pacific Theater. He was a member of St. Anastasia
Catholic Church for 42 years, the National Rifle Association, American Legion
Post 40,
Special Olympics and St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Survivors
include his son, John Ciacci of Port St. Lucie; daughters, Loretta Noon and
Regina Ciacci Keesler, both of Fort Pierce; 11 grandchildren; and 27
great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joan Ciacci.
Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Anastasia Catholic Church 9:30
a.m. Mass, Children's Program, 407 S. 33rd St., Fort Pierce, FL 34947.
Services: A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. May 16 at
St. Anastasia Catholic Church. Arrangements are by Haisley Funeral & Cremation
